How to Maintain a
Soft Soak®,
Baqua Spa®
or biguanide Spa...
Regular
Care & Maintenance
Weekly:
-
Test spa water using
Soft Soak®
Spa Water Test Strips for pH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness and
Sanitizer levels. Write down the results.

Add the following
amounts of Soft Soak®
products per 150 gallons of spa water:
Add 0.75 oz. Soft Soak®
Waterline Control (if using Soft Soak®
Spa Conditioner, do not add until the water is completely drained &
spa is refilled)
Add 0.25 oz. Soft Soak®
Stain & Scale Control
Add 1.0 to 3.0 oz. Soft Soak®
Shock, according to spa usage. Use the higher amount if the spa is
used 3 or more times per week.

The Soft Soak®
Sanitizer level should be maintained between 30 and 50 ppm. If the
Sanitizer level is 11 to 30 ppm, add 0.5 oz. Soft Soak® Sanitizer per
150 gallons of spa water. If the Sanitizer level is 0 to 10 ppm, add
1.0 oz. Soft Soak® Sanitizer per 150 gallons of spa water.

If pH is NOT between
7.2 and 7.6, adjust as needed with SpaGuard® pH Increaser or Decreaser.
Monthly:

If possible, have
your water professionally tested by Par Pool & Spa
-
Chemically clean
your filter with Soft Soak®
Filter Cleaner.
Every 3 to 4
Months:
** Special Note:
DO NOT USE SpaGuard®
Spa Sentry in Soft Soak®,
Baqua Spa®
or other biguanide treated spas. Use . Use Soft Soak®,
Baqua Spa®
or other biguanide products in NON-wood spas ONLY. DO NOT USE IN
WOODEN HOT TUBS.
